While jeans are an easy go-to for the weekend, many people have asked me how to make jeans appropriate for other times that require a little more polish, like work events and more professional occasions. Take a look at the outfits below for a little denim inspiration.

I love a great wide leg/trouser jean. A great alternative to the more traditional skinny jean. For this look we paired them with a simple top in a neutral color and a fitted leather jacket to complete the look. We paired this look with a nude heel but a flat or wedge works just as well, let your event dictate your shoe choice. This would be a perfect look for a networking event or after hours work gathering.

An alternative to a blazer is a vest. We paired this classic white button up with a grey vest, a dark jean and a flat in a pop of color.  Dark denim is an easy way to make a look more polished. This would be a great look for a less formal speaking engagement or presentation.

For this look we paired a pair of black denim with a more dressy top and a natural heel. This is a look that you can wear to a work conference or seminar. If you will be doing more walking than sitting, you may opt to switch your shoe to a flat.

The more casual of all the looks here and the only one that isn’t a dark denim. While dark denim does present itself more polished, it is ok to go with a lighter denim if appropriate for your serting. To keep from looking too casual, opt to have everything else appear less casual; go with a structured top or a blazer or third “finishing”piece. For this look we did a button front top and a sweater as our “finisher”

I hope you were able to find  a look you like from these or at least some inspiration for your next jeans look!
