#ASKTHESTYLIST:Style for Entrepreneurs & Work from Home Women

This post was inspired by a FB live video on Jedi mindset tricks by Alease Michelle. One of those mindset tricks was “dressing as if.” Even if you spend your days at home working, don’t let yourself live in your favorite lounge clothes. Getting up and getting dressed for the day will motivate you to be productive and not let your lounge clothes lure you into spending your day lounging.

Many entrepreneurs and women that work from home can relate to falling into the trap of living in your favorite yoga pants or sweats as you work from home. No one will see you right? You work better when you are comfortable right? Well this maybe somewhat true but there is also much to be said about dressing the part, even when working means you don’t leave your front door.

Here are some looks you can wear to dress the part while working at home and make simple tweaks to your look that will will have ready to step out for a client meeting in no time.

Jeans are the perfect start to your at home work outfit. Jeans and a basic top while working in your home office and add a cool leather jacket, some heels and jewelry to go out for client meetings.

The white tee is a wardrobe essential for a reason. Comfortable and easy to take from casual to more polished, the white tee should be one of your go to items for “dressing the part” as an entrepreneur who doesn’t leave home to work. Statement jewelry is an easy way to dress up the white tee.

If you saw my Instagram post last week on comfort and style, you saw this shirt dress. The shirtdress is one of the best pieces you can own. One piece and your dressed! Change up your shoes and add a belt and you are ready to go from staying in to work to going out to grow your business!

Remember those jeans we talked about earlier? Well, here is another look to create with your favorite pair of denim. For this look we paired denim with a basic shell and then added a blazer to pull the look together for going out.

So, put away your yoga pants for the week and pull your real clothes back out and get working! Until the next #ASKTHESTYLIST…
